About this spot

On the day of the Pairon Festival Eve Celebration, food stalls and dining booths line the area around Port Park (ポート公園), and the festival atmosphere builds from late afternoon. Once you've secured a good viewing spot by laying down a picnic blanket early, procure dinner from the stalls and enjoy a leisurely meal. The twilight over Aioi Bay is a beautiful time when the western sky turns orange and the water surface of the ria-type inlet reflects that color. As the sun lowers, the air becomes pleasantly cool, so it's nice to bring out a light layer to wear comfortably. The time spent waiting for the show while enjoying the contrast between the bustle around you and the quiet evening landscape of the bay is itself a precious moment of your day.

2026年5月30日(土)19時50分から約50分間、相生湾の海上から約5,000発の花火が打ち上がります。相生ペーロン祭前夜祭として開催されるこの花火大会は、リアス式海岸の穏やかな入り江という地形が生み出す独特の舞台設定が魅力です。湾の水面に色とりどりの光が映り込み、打ち上げのたびに水面が揺れる様子は、海上花火ならではの美しさ。三方を山に囲まれた入り江では音が反響し、大玉の炸裂音が体にずしんと響きます。翌日のペーロン競漕への期待も重なって、相生の春の夜を祝うような5,000発のフィナーレは、この1日の最高の締めくくりです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は相生市・大会主催者の公式発表で必ず確認してください。終了後はポート公園周辺および駐車場が大変混雑します。終演後すぐに移動せず、湾岸で少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅するのがおすすめです。JR相生駅への臨時シャトルバスや交通規制の情報も事前に確認しておきましょう。

Tips
