The Kasumi Coast, included in the Sanin Kaigan Geopark, is a scenic area featuring columnar jointed rock walls and sea caves carved by the Japan Sea's waves over long periods. Aboard a glass-bottom boat, you can peer through the ship's glass bottom to see transparent undersea rock formations and fish while navigating between caves and peculiar rocks. You'll witness continuous moments of children exclaiming "I see it!" while adults are overwhelmed by nature's formations. Thoroughly experiencing Kasumi's sea in daylight—the same sea where tonight's fireworks will launch—will deepen your emotional response when viewing the fireworks.

Departing from the sightseeing boat landing near Kasumi Fishing Port. As operating conditions vary with seasons and weather, advance confirmation with the operating company is recommended. High waves may cause cancellations. Typical courses last 30-45 minutes. It's reassuring to wear clothes that can get wet or prepare a change of clothes.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. When afternoon light streams onto the sea surface, the underwater landscape is most visible.
