The Kasumi Beach area, which serves as the main venue for tonight's fireworks festival, gradually fills with people as evening approaches and becomes lively. Spread a leisure sheet around the Shiokaze Kaen area to secure your spot, then relax while awaiting the opening by laying out food purchased nearby or from food stalls. The view of the setting sun dyeing the horizon in crimson tones as it sinks into the Japan Sea captures the distinctive beauty of the Sanin region. During the Kasumi Furusato Matsuri festival period, the beach becomes even livelier, heightening the summer festival atmosphere of the fishing village. This waiting time before the fireworks—spent amid the scent of the sea and the sound of waves—is also a precious part of the course.

Tips

From Kasumi Station, walk or drive to the beach. On the fireworks day, parking areas around the beach fill up early. Public transportation or early parking is recommended. Purchasing food from stalls early avoids crowds. Locate restroom facilities while it's still light.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours required. The color changes of the sky and sea around sunset are a must-see.
