The Doshin・UHB Fireworks Festival venue is located on the Toyohira River floodplain between Minami-Ohashi and Horohira bridges (南大橋〜幌平橋間). From the spacious viewing area along the river, watching approximately 4,000 fireworks burst overhead is an extraordinary spectacle, and the sight of ribbons of light reflected on the river's surface swaying is another beautiful highlight. Hokkaido's summer nights are cool, allowing you to watch in the fresh air unlike fireworks festivals in Tokyo or Osaka. The finale's rapid bursts simultaneously illuminating the night sky and river surface mark the climax of this full day.

After the finale, the surrounding area will be extremely crowded, so it's recommended to linger and enjoy the afterglow for a while on the floodplain before heading home at a staggered time. Horohira Bridge Station on the Nanboku Line subway is the closest station, but during heavy congestion, walking to Nakajima Koen Station for dispersed boarding is also effective.
