About this spot
An artificial mountain within Moerenuma Park designed by Isamu Noguchi; from its approximately 62-meter summit, a 360-degree panorama of the Ishikari Plain and Sapporo city unfolds. The gentle grass-covered slope can be walked up easily, making it safe and enjoyable even for small children. On clear days, you can see as far as Teine Mountain and the Mashike Mountains—a spectacular viewing spot. Experience the vastness of tonight's fireworks sky during daytime from here. The summit is breezy and cool even in September, making it a perfect spot to rest while enjoying the scenery.

北海道芸術花火は、音楽と花火を融合させた「エンターテインメント花火」として知られる大会で、モエレ沼公園の広大な空間を舞台に繰り広げられます。イサム・ノグチが「地球を彫刻する」というコンセプトで設計したこの公園は、花火の会場としても唯一無二のスケールと美しさを持っています。音楽に連動した演出が次々と空を彩り、沼の水面に映る光も見どころのひとつ。北海道の澄んだ9月の夜空に大輪の花火が咲く約1時間は、芸術的な感動と迫力が共存する特別な時間です。
Tips
荒天・強風時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は大会公式の発表で必ず確認してください。終了後は公園外への出口が混雑するため、フィナーレ後しばらく公園内でゆっくりしてから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめです。帰りのバス・駐車場の混雑も想定し、帰路の手段を事前に確認しておきましょう。
Tips
About 15-20 minutes walk to the summit. Both a paved promenade and grass slopes are available for climbing. Since footing can be slippery, wear comfortable shoes. Benches at the summit allow for rest. On fireworks night, entry restrictions may apply, so it's recommended to climb during the day.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes required. The afternoon light allows you to fully experience the plain's scale.
