Check Ichikawa City's official announcements for whether the event will go ahead in bad weather. The nearest station and local buses get extremely crowded right after the show ends, so you can ease the crowding by lingering on the riverbed for a while after the finale to enjoy the afterglow before heading home. The riverbed is dark on the way back, so watch your step, and a small light is reassuring to bring. Besides JR Ichikawa Station (市川駅) and Motoyawata Station (本八幡駅), heading home via Keisei Ichikawa-Mama Station (京成市川真間駅) is also recommended to spread out the crowds.
