The Edo River bank in the Osu district, which is the main venue for the fireworks festival. Vast grassy areas gather families and groups of friends, with food stalls lining up from evening, heightening the summer festival atmosphere. Tokyo's cityscape spreads across the opposite bank, and as the sun sets, the scenery transforms from sunset to nightscape—another highlight. Arrive 1-2 hours before the start, secure a spot with a leisure sheet, and leisurely wait for the show while enjoying shaved ice and yakisoba from the food stalls. The breeze that crosses the river brings a pleasant cool refreshment in the evening.

2026年8月1日(土)19時15分から20時20分まで、江戸川河川敷の大洲3丁目地先で開催される市川市民納涼花火大会です。約14,000発という圧倒的な打上数が自慢で、夜空を埋め尽くすスターマインや大玉が次々と炸裂します。幅広い江戸川の川幅をスクリーンに、対岸の東京側からも観覧者が集まる大規模な花火大会。川を渡る夜風の中で楽しむ花火は、夏の市川の風物詩として地域に根付いています。1時間5分のプログラムは盛りだくさんで、フィナーレの連発は空全体が光に包まれる圧巻のスペクタクルです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は市川市の公式発表で確認を。終了直後は最寄り駅や路線バスが大混雑するため、フィナーレ後は河川敷でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから帰宅すると混雑を緩和できます。帰り道の河川敷は暗いので足元に注意し、小さなライトがあると安心。JR市川駅・本八幡駅のほか、京成市川真間駅への分散帰宅もおすすめです。

Tips

About 20-25 minutes walk from JR Ichikawa Station or Honhachiman Station, or accessible by bus. On the fireworks day, there is no parking, so use of public transportation is essential. Use restrooms early (long lines form just before the show begins). Follow organizer instructions for seating rules and do not enter restricted areas.
