About this spot

This central park, a few minutes' walk from Matsudo Station (松戸駅), is well loved by local residents. Its spacious lawn area and the shade of large trees are just right for a summer outing, with plenty of room for children to run around. There's also a fountain and flowerbeds, and it has a relaxed atmosphere quite different from a bustling tourist spot. Getting some exercise and refreshing yourself here during the day of the fireworks festival makes moving to the venue in the evening much easier. It's also a great place to sit on a bench, have a light snack, and go over the day's plan together as a family.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from the east exit of Matsudo Station (松戸駅). Admission is free. Public restrooms are available in the park. On days with strong sunshine, secure a shaded bench and be sure to stay hydrated. Picking up lunch from a takeout shop near the station and spreading it out in the park makes for a relaxed meal.
