Facing Tanabe Bay, Ougi-ga-hama is a white sand beach representing Tanabe City and the venue for tonight's fireworks festival. Developed as a park with grassy areas and walking paths, it's ideal for leisurely time with children. Tips

Approximately 15 minutes on foot from JR Kii-Tanabe Station. The parking lot in the park fills up early on the night of the fireworks festival. The sand is fine, so sneakers are more comfortable than sandals for walking. Plan ahead during the day to spot where you'll place your leisure sheet for viewing the fireworks.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours required. During the clear light of daytime, the blue of the sea looks its most beautiful.
