Spreading across the Arakawa riverbank in Konosu City, Fukiage Cosmos Fields (吹上コスモス畑) is one of Saitama Prefecture's largest cosmos spots, typically at its peak from early to mid-October. Pink and white cosmos bloom in profusion across the wide riverbank, beautifully set against a clear autumn sky — perfect for a family stroll. Since this is the same Arakawa riverbank that hosts tonight's fireworks festival, visiting in the daytime is also a good way to get a feel for the venue area beforehand. Because it falls on the same day as the fireworks festival, the area is often already lively, letting you enjoy the flowers at leisure amid a building festival excitement. Free admission makes it an easy, casual stop too.

About a 15-minute walk from JR Fukiage Station (吹上駅), or convenient by bus or car from Konosu Station. Bloom timing varies year to year, so check Konosu City's official information before visiting. Roads around the area get congested on the day of the fireworks festival, so plan to move early. Comfortable walking sneakers are recommended.
