The plaza in front of the station comes alive early on the festival day as food stalls and vendor booths begin opening, building festive excitement. The lobby and rest areas within the facility are perfect for cooling off and catching your breath before afternoon sightseeing. The surrounding area is home to specialty shops for Hina dolls (雛人形), Kounosu's signature craft, allowing you to experience another aspect of the "Hina Doll Town of Kounosu." As a starting point for access from the station to the venue, many families use this popular spot as a gathering place for buses and pickups.

2026年10月10日(土)17時30分から20時まで開催される、こうのす花火大会の観覧です。鴻巣市の糠田運動場および荒川河川敷を会場に、約20,000発もの花火が打ち上がる大規模な花火大会で、埼玉県内でも指折りの規模を誇ります。広大な荒川の河川敷は周囲に遮るものがなく、打ち上がる花火を真正面から見上げられる開放感が格別。秋の10月開催ならではの澄んだ夜空に映える花火の色鮮やかさも、夏の大会とはひと味違う美しさです。スターマインや大玉など多彩なプログラムが2時間30分にわたって続くフィナーレは、夜空を埋め尽くす連続打ちで圧巻のスケール。河川敷に広がる音の迫力とともに、家族みんなの記憶に残る秋の夜になるはずです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表を必ず確認してください。終了後は会場周辺と最寄り駅が大変混雑します。混雑を避けるためにフィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動するか、大会公式の交通・帰宅案内に従って分散帰宅を心がけましょう。10月の河川敷は夜間の気温が大幅に下がるため、防寒着の準備を忘れずに。足元は暗くなるため小型ライトがあると安心です。

Tips

Walking distance from JR Kounosu Station East Exit. The area around the station becomes extremely crowded on the festival day, so checking the situation early in the afternoon helps you plan your departure route. It's wise to gather food and drinks from nearby convenience stores and restaurants during this time.
