The area around the Kasai Yosui riverbank and Chuo Civic Hall, the venue for the Koshigaya Fireworks Festival, is lined with many food stalls and vendor stands on the day of the event. Arriving early in the evening to secure a viewing spot with a leisure sheet, then enjoying stall food while waiting for the show to start, is the classic way to spend the time leading up to the highlight of this course. The riverbank along the Kasai Yosui is relatively flat and easy to see from, an area where many families gather. As the sun sets, a pleasant breeze blows along the river, and the anticipation builds with each passing moment while waiting for the fireworks.

Tips

It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Koshigaya Station, or a bicycle is convenient. The earlier you stake out a spot, the better position you'll get for viewing the fireworks. Allow plenty of time in line when buying food from the stalls. It's reassuring to check the location of nearby public restrooms while it's still light out.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Around sunset, the riverbank atmosphere builds toward the excitement of the fireworks festival.
