The shopping street around Koshigaya Station is a commercial area with a homey feel, used by local residents in everyday life. Deli shops, bakeries, and local eateries line the street, and it's a handy place to stock up before the fireworks. On the day of the festival, the shopping street grows livelier too, letting you enjoy the building summer-festival mood. Since the food stalls near the venue get crowded from the evening onward, it's reassuring to pick up drinks and snacks here beforehand. It's also worth checking the convenience stores or drugstores near the station for anything you might have forgotten, such as a leisure sheet or insect repellent.

Tips

Right by Koshigaya Station on the Tobu Skytree Line. On the day of the festival, the area around the station also starts to get crowded from the evening. Pick up drinks at a convenience store early. From here, you'll head on foot or by bicycle to the venue around the Kasai Yosui riverbank and Chuo Civic Hall (about a 15-20 minute walk from Koshigaya Station).

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Shopping tends to go relatively smoothly before evening.
