Reiwa 8 Iruma Air Base Summer Festival Fireworks (viewing area around Inariyama Park) (令和8年度入間基地納涼祭 花火(稲荷山公園周辺観覧エリア))

Flow of the course

About this spot

This fireworks display crowns the finale of the Reiwa 8 Iruma Air Base Summer Festival (令和8年度入間基地納涼祭). For about thirty minutes starting at 8:20 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, fireworks launch one after another into the wide sky above Japan Air Self-Defense Force Iruma Air Base (航空自衛隊入間基地). The area around the base has few obstructions and an open expanse of sky, so a distinctive feature is that the fireworks appear large and clear. The sound and light that ring out with each launch color the summer night, and the watching children cheer with excitement. Fireworks launched on the special stage of a Self-Defense Force base's summer festival have an atmosphere unlike anywhere else, and it is a summer tradition of the region that many families look forward to every year.

Tips

You can watch from roads and parks along the base fence, such as around Inariyama-kōen Station (稲荷山公園駅) and Sayama-shi Station (狭山市駅). Entering the base without permission is strictly prohibited. Since the surrounding roads and Inariyama-kōen Station (稲荷山公園駅) become extremely crowded afterward, it is recommended to wait a little while after the finale before moving. Please check on the day of the event whether the show will proceed in bad weather via Iruma Air Base's official announcement.
