One of Miyazaki Prefecture's representative clear rivers, the Mimikawa is a natural and scenic river flowing through Misato Town. The riverbank, winding through mountains, is covered with green trees and offers cool shade even under the summer sun. Simply descending to the riverbank and touching the water allows you to experience the refreshment unique to mountain villages. Strolling leisurely here is perfect for resting your body before the evening fireworks. The beautiful nature of the Mimikawa River basin is cherished by locals as scenery symbolizing Miyazaki's mountain villages.

御田祭の里ふれあい広場の夜空に、約1,200発の花火が次々と開きます。山に囲まれた美郷町ならではの地形が花火の音を反響させ、体の芯に響く迫力は都市の花火大会とはひと味違うものがあります。田園と山里の静けさの中で上がる花火の光は、周囲の木々や山の稜線をシルエットで浮かび上がらせ、美しい情景をつくり出します。御田祭の伝統を受け継ぐ地域の祭りの一夜を、家族そろって夜空を見上げながら過ごす時間は、夏の大切な思い出になるはずです。
Tips
開催時間は未定のため、大会公式の発表で必ず事前に確認してください。荒天時の開催可否も公式情報を参照のこと。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混雑するため、しばらく会場で余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくと安心です。帰り道は足元が暗い箇所があるので、懐中電灯を忘れずに。

Some sections of the riverbank have unstable footing, so walking shoes are recommended over sandals. The summer sun is strong, so don't forget a hat and sunscreen. Be careful of safety in case of flooding when approaching the river.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Afternoon dappled sunlight reflecting on the river surface is beautiful.
