The sandy beach that serves as the venue for the Kurobe Ikiji Hamakaikaijō Fireworks Festival. An open coastline facing the Japan Sea with magnificent views of the distant Tateyama Mountain Range on clear days. The Ikiji Beach in the evening is a beautiful time when the sunset sinking into the Japan Sea colors the water's surface. Secure your spot by spreading a leisure sheet more than 2 hours before fireworks begin, and enjoy the constantly changing colors of the sky. As the sun sets, the ocean breeze becomes refreshingly cool, and the wait for fireworks becomes a special moment of summer. You may also want to purchase light snacks from nearby food stalls and vendors.

Tips

Within walking distance from Ikiji Station. On fireworks day, spectators begin arriving around 6:00 PM, so securing your spot early is recommended. Once darkness falls, ground becomes difficult to see; having a smartphone light or small flashlight is reassuring. On days with high waves, pay attention to beach conditions and follow guidance from beach management officials.

Approximately 2 hours required. The time when the sunset sinks below the horizon offers particularly spectacular views.
