Watch approximately 1,500 fireworks bloom in the night sky over the Japan Sea from the sandy beach with the ocean breeze
About this spot
The Kurobe Ikiji Hamakaikaijō Fireworks Festival beginning at 8:10 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026. With the Ikiji Beach area in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture as the venue, approximately 1,500 fireworks launch into the night sky over the Japan Sea. Fireworks launched from the sea have nothing blocking them, and the open view from the sandy beach allows you to feel the dynamism of sound and light throughout your body—a specialty unique to Ikiji Beach. The finale with overlapping waves and fireworks booms demonstrates the overwhelming power that only seaside fireworks festivals can deliver. On clear nights, the night Japan Sea spreads beyond the launching fireworks, a beauty experienced nowhere else.
