The Kurobe River alluvial fan, formed over many years of the river's geological activity, is known as a representative large-scale fan-shaped landform of notable proportions within Japan. When viewed from a high vantage point, rice paddies and settlements arranged in neat grid patterns spread out in a fan shape, with the Northern Alps mountains extending beyond, creating a grand panorama. On a clear summer day, you can even see all the way to Toyama Bay, and you can feel the dramatic power of the terrain stretching in a straight line from mountain to sea.
