Approximately 5,500 fireworks light up Toyama Bay's night sky, with reflections on the sea adding to the spectacle

About this spot

The grand finale of Himi City's largest summer festival, with approximately 5,500 fireworks launched toward Toyama Bay. From Himino-e Park, fireworks burst in succession directly overhead against the night sky, their light also reflecting beautifully on the gently undulating sea surface. The thunderous sound of launches mingles with the sea breeze and wave sounds, allowing you to feel the full intensity of a waterfront fireworks display with your entire body. As the finale approaches with rapidly successive large burst fireworks, the night sky above Himi is ablaze with overwhelming light—a perfect climax to the day.

Tips

Confirm the start time in advance through official festival information (time to be announced). Also check the official announcement for possible weather-related cancellations. After the show, surrounding roads become congested; it's recommended to linger and savor the afterglow before heading home later. The ground becomes dark, so use your smartphone's flashlight for navigation.

Best time to visit

Arrive at your viewing spot 20-30 minutes before the scheduled start time. A position where the sea surface is visible allows you to also enjoy the light reflections on the water.
