The Sokumugaira area, which spreads just beside Toyama Castle Site Park, is one of Toyama City's premier shopping and gourmet zones. Commercial facilities including Sokumugaira Ferio (総曲輪フェリオ) gather here, with souvenirs rich in regional character such as Toyama sake, processed products made from Toyama Bay seafood, and Toyama traditional crafts. Since the area becomes crowded with fireworks viewers after evening, it's wise to explore thoroughly during this time.

Tips

About 5 minutes on foot from Toyama Castle Site Park. The "Nishi-machi" (西町) streetcar station is the nearest stop. During hot hours, use indoor facilities to rest and move around. If souvenirs are heavy, arranging delivery by courier is also convenient.
