The Toyama venue of the Kitanihon Shinbun Cooling Fireworks Festival launches fireworks from the riverbank downstream of Arisawa Bridge on the Jinzū River—a grand summer event. Fireworks blooming directly overhead the wide river are unobstructed and appear magnificently large, with booming sounds echoing along the river—the true appeal of riverbank viewing. The dancing light of the fireworks reflected on the water's surface is a beautiful sight unique to the Jinzū River. After the finale, viewers move all at once, so return buses and parking lots become very congested. After the finale, it's recommended to linger a bit longer on the riverbank before gradually heading home. Some areas are dark, so a small light is helpful for safety.
