Check whether the event will be held in case of bad weather through an announcement by Kitanihon Shinbun or the official festival website on the day. After the finale, viewers move all at once, so return buses and parking lots become very congested. After the finale, it's recommended to linger a bit longer on the riverbank before gradually heading home. Some areas are dark, so a small light is helpful for safety.
