As evening approaches, the lakeside of Funatsuhama, tonight's fireworks venue, gradually fills with spectators. Once you've secured your spot, spread out your packed dinner or food from nearby food stalls and enjoy the relaxed time before the show begins. The sunset sinking beyond Mount Fuji's ridgeline viewed from this special reserved-area seat is a bonus treat before the fireworks. As the sky shifts from orange to indigo, anticipation in the venue builds. Temperatures begin to drop on the mountain lake in the evening, so have a light jacket or wrap ready for comfort.

Tips

Roads and parking near the fireworks venue get congested early on festival day. Public transportation (Fujikyuko Line buses, shuttle buses from Kawaguchiko Station, etc.) is convenient. Restrooms are set up around the venue but lines form quickly, so use them early. Festival food stalls sell out fast, so bring beverages and light snacks in advance for peace of mind.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Securing a spot by 5 p.m. allows you to enjoy the sunset to fireworks with ample leisure.
