A fireworks festival celebrating Mt. Fuji's mountain opening (July 1), held around Oike Park and other lakeside areas, where approximately 2,000 fireworks are launched. The fireworks rising from the lake spread against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji's silhouette into the night sky, with bands of light reflecting off the quiet lake surface—a beauty unique to inland lake fireworks. The night air at the lakeshore, over 800 meters in elevation, is remarkably clear, causing the firework colors to shine vividly. The approximately 20-minute display celebrating this special occasion represents a summer symbol of Yamanashi that exists only when Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi's nature come together.

Confirm whether the festival will proceed in bad weather via official announcement from Fujikawaguchiko Town in advance. After the finale, the road toward Kawaguchiko Station and parking areas become extremely crowded. Either enjoy the lingering atmosphere at the lakeside for a while before departing with staggered timing, or check the return schedule of the Fujikyuko Railway from Kawaguchiko Station in advance. The ground becomes dark, so a small light is helpful.
