A refreshing pre-evening walk on a hill village along the Kiso River
About this spot
A hill village standing compactly along the Kiso River with a height of approximately 173 meters, also called "Owari Fuji" and cherished by local residents. A nature trail maintained from the mountain base along the riverbank has a gentle slope, making it easy to walk even with small children. A stroll surrounded by the flowing Kiso River and green trees is perfect for refreshing yourself after museum exploration. From the high ground, expansive views of the broad Kiso River and the scenery of neighboring Aichi Prefecture unfold, with cool breezes in early evening creating a pleasant atmosphere. Include this as a nice warm-up walk before the fireworks display.

おがせ池夏まつりのフィナーレを飾る花火大会は、2026年7月18日(土)19時30分の打ち上げ開始です。池の上空に次々と開く約1,000〜1,500発は、水面に鮮やかな色を映しながら夏の夜空を染め上げます。大きな湖や海の花火大会とは異なる、こぢんまりとした池ならではの距離感で見る花火は迫力と親しみやすさを兼ね備えており、地元の家族連れが集う温かい雰囲気の中で楽しめます。夏まつりのにぎわいと、打ち上がるたびに池面に広がる光の輪が重なる40分間は、1日の締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックスです。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は各務原市の公式発表または大会主催者の情報で確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混み合います。急がず余韻を楽しみながら、少し時間をおいてから移動するのがおすすめです。帰り道は足元が暗い場所もあるので、スマホのライトや小型ライトを用意しておきましょう。

Approximately 10 to 15 minutes by car from Ogase Pond. Parking spaces are available at the mountain base. Formal climbing gear is not necessary, but in summer bring a hat and water due to strong sunlight. Mosquitoes and insects are plentiful during this season, so starting to use insect repellent from this point onward is reassuring.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. The dappled sunlight reflecting off the river surface in early evening is particularly beautiful.
