Oribe Hills (織部ヒルズ), a Mino-ware (美濃焼) wholesale business park in Toki City, is a direct-from-producer area gathering numerous shops. Here you can experience the full range of Mino ware's appeal in one place, from everyday tableware to craft-level works. Because prices reflect the producing area, you'll also see local residents stocking up on practical bowls and plates for the whole family. The green-glazed pieces featuring the distinctive Oribe (織部) pattern are especially worth picking up as souvenirs, since Toki City is the birthplace of Oribe ware. It's a fitting starting point unique to the producing area, where you can shop while getting a feel for the history and diversity of Mino ware.

Tips

About a 5-minute drive from JR Tokishi Station (JR土岐市駅). There is parking on-site. During the fireworks viewing, keep any tableware you've purchased in your car, or carry it carefully in a reusable bag you've brought along. On the day of the fireworks, visitor numbers increase from the afternoon on, so visiting in the morning makes for a more comfortable experience.
