About this spot

A spacious green-space park along the Yoshii River (吉井川) that serves as the venue for the Saidaiji Summer Fireworks Festival. In this open, river-facing location, settling onto the embankment or a grassy area lets you secure a great position with the launch site right in front of you. At dusk, the Yoshii River's surface turns orange, offering beautiful scenery even before the fireworks begin. Food stalls are also set up, so pick up extra food and drinks while you wait leisurely for the show to start.

Tips

About 15–20 minutes on foot from Saidaiji Station. Be sure to check the start time through official information on the day. Mosquitoes appear along the river from evening, so use insect repellent. Restrooms get crowded, so it's reassuring to use them early.
