About this spot

This is a sandy beach facing the Sea of Japan within Hamada City, loved by local families for its gently sloping shore and calm waves. The contrast between the white sand and the clear blue of the Sea of Japan is striking, and on summer afternoons the sea breeze makes it a perfect spot for a pleasant walk. As evening approaches, the color of the light changes and the sea's expression gradually shifts as well. It is also a good place to picture the evening's fireworks viewing while looking out toward Hamada Port, where the fireworks will go up tonight. Simply walking barefoot on the sand lets you feel the freedom of summer.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from central Hamada City. Parking space available. For swimming, follow the local safety signage and any lifeguard instructions. Sand easily gets into shoes, so sandals that are easy to slip off are convenient. Leave the beach before evening to get ready for dinner around the fishing port.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 20 minutes. The time just before evening, when the low afternoon sun makes the sea sparkle, is the most beautiful.
