Hamada Fishing Port is known throughout Sanin for "donchicchi aji" (local horse mackerel) and "nodoguro" (blackthroat seaperch). Dining establishments handling local fish are scattered around the harbor, and on the day of the fireworks festival, food stalls appear along with the festival's festive atmosphere. Complete your dinner in the early evening to prepare for the fireworks. The Sea of Japan at dusk viewed from the pier offers a different quietness than daytime. The flow of this course includes taking a walk around the festival stalls to soak in the festive atmosphere while spending a relaxed time before the show begins. It's reassuring to identify toilet locations while still light outside.

浜田みなとまつり花火大会は、浜田漁港7号岸壁周辺を会場に開催される、浜田市の夏の夜を代表する祭りの花火です。港を舞台に打ち上がる花火は、背後の山並みと目の前に広がる日本海の両方を背景に夜空を彩ります。漁港ならではの開けた空間で花火を正面に見られるのが魅力で、海風に乗って届く打ち上げ音は港町の夏の迫力を存分に伝えてくれます。フィナーレが夜空を照らす瞬間は、この1日のすべての締めくくりにふさわしい光景です。

開催可否は荒天時に変更・中止となる場合があるため、浜田市または大会公式の発表を当日に確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路や駐車場が混雑します。花火終了後は少し時間をおいてから移動するか、徒歩圏内に駐車している場合は混雑が落ち着いてから車に戻るのがおすすめです。足元は暗くなるので、スマホのライトを準備しておきましょう。

On fireworks day, restaurants and food stalls around the harbor become extremely crowded. It's recommended to finish dinner by around 5 PM. When getting food from stalls, don't forget trash bags. Before heading to Pier No. 7's viewing area, organize your belongings and do a final check on drinks.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours 15 minutes required. The time around sunset, when the harbor's evening scenery and festival preparations are in full swing, is most enjoyable.
