The Cool Summer Fireworks Grand Finale that marks the climax of the Komatsushima Port Festival launches approximately 2,500 fireworks from 8 PM to 9 PM on July 19, 2026 (Sunday) above the harbor in the Shin-minato district. Please check the official announcement from Komatsushima City or the event organizer in advance regarding whether the event will be held in case of bad weather. After the event ends, surrounding roads and parking lots become very congested. If you arrived by car, consider relaxing at the venue for a while after the fireworks end before leaving, or consider using public transportation. Since the ground is dark, prepare a smartphone light or small light for your return trip.
