岡崎城下家康公夏まつり花火大会は、乙川河畔と矢作川河畔の2か所から打ち上げられる、岡崎の夏を代表する祭りです。川面に映る光と家康公ゆかりの城下町の夜景が重なる光景は、この大会ならではの情景です。19時の打ち上げ開始から20時30分のフィナーレまで、夏の夜空を彩り続ける花火は、川沿いのどのエリアからも迫力満点に楽しめます。乙川と矢作川の両会場でそれぞれ異なる角度の打ち上げが楽しめるのも、この大会の特徴です。フィナーレの連発が城下町の夜空を染め上げる瞬間は、1日のクライマックスにふさわしい光景です。

Tips

観覧場所は開催前に岡崎市の公式発表で有料席・無料観覧エリアを確認しておきましょう。荒天時は中止または順延になる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は公式情報で確認を。終了後は名鉄東岡崎駅・JR岡崎駅への帰路が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動するか、混雑を避けたルートを事前に調べておくと安心です。足元が暗い場所もあるのでライトを携帯しましょう。

Tips

Approximately 15 minutes on foot from Meitetsu Higashi-Okazaki Station. From late afternoon onward on the day of the fireworks festival, surrounding roads and public transportation become heavily congested. Lines at food stalls and shops become long after 6 PM, so it's reassuring to procure food supplies earlier. The riverbed has areas with hard ground, so a thick leisure sheet or small cushion will make your stay more comfortable.
