Within Atsuta Shrine grounds stands a kishimen (wide, flat noodle) dining facility long cherished by shrine visitors. Kishimen is Aichi Prefecture's signature wide, flat noodle, pairs well with bonito and kelp dashi broth, and its refreshing taste is easy to eat in early summer. Enjoying a bowl in the shade of trees after your shrine visit soothes the fatigue of sightseeing. Having lunch within the shrine grounds leaves you unencumbered to enjoy the Osu sightseeing that follows. As a gateway to Nagoya cuisine, the menu is also kid-friendly.

Tips

Located in the southern area within Atsuta Shrine grounds. Even on the fireworks festival day, daytime hours see relatively smooth entry. The self-service format with quick turnover is a welcome point for families. For the subsequent move to Osu, time your departure for around 2:45 PM.
