Located along the Otowa River, Taisha Shrine is the venue for the Taisha Shrine Grand Festival Fireworks (Kofu Fireworks). During the festival period, the shrine grounds and surrounding areas are filled with food stalls, creating the lively atmosphere unique to local summer festivals. Since the fireworks display begins at 6:30 PM, it's advisable to arrive at the venue by around 4:30 PM to secure your viewing spot. Once you've spread out your leisure sheet in the viewing area along the Otowa River, purchase your dinner from food stalls and wait for the event to begin. This is a time when the atmosphere differs from daytime sightseeing, with mounting festival excitement and anticipation.

Tips

About 10-15 minutes by car from the Toyokawa Inari area, or accessible by local bus. Road congestion is expected around the venue on the day, so plan an early departure and confirm parking in advance. Food stall offerings are limited in quantity, so it's best to bring your own drinks or purchase them early during this time slot.
