Fireworks run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (the venue opens at 5:00 p.m.). In case of severe weather, the event is postponed to the same time on the following day, Sunday the 23rd, so check the City of Ojiya's official announcement for whether it will proceed. Viewing is free, but paid seating is also available (check official information for rates and how to apply). Roads and parking around the venue become congested all at once after the show ends, so it's more comfortable to stagger your departure by lingering on the riverbank for a while to enjoy the afterglow of the finale before moving. It gets dark underfoot, so use your smartphone's light function or a small flashlight.
