A vast sports park developed on the Tamagawa River floodplain, adjacent to the main venue of the Ashikaga Fireworks Festival. The grassy area is expansive, and on the festival day, families fill it with leisure sheets from early afternoon. Numerous vendor stalls and food stands set up throughout and around the park to coincide with the fireworks festival, making this the practical place to get dinner. The evening breeze from the riverside is pleasant, and you can relax while taking in the views of the Tamagawa River as daylight fades. Checking restroom locations in advance saves stress during peak crowds before and after the event.

Tips

About 15 minutes walk from Tobu Ashikaga City Station. On the festival day, crowds begin gathering around 4:00 PM, so arriving around 4:00 PM is ideal to secure a good viewing spot. Vendor food becomes congested with lines just before showtime, so purchase early. Consider your return transportation and check final train times in advance due to post-event congestion.

Best time to visit

Approximately 3 hours required. The exceptional view as the river surface's color changes with dusk is truly remarkable.
