About this spot

Located in the southern part of Moka City, this large Tochigi Prefecture-run urban park has spacious grounds featuring a big pond, lawn plaza, climbing structures, playground, and barbecue area. Simply strolling around the pond is refreshing, and children can move freely on the playground equipment and climbing structures. A summer afternoon here, cooling off in the shade of the trees, is a perfect way to relax and build up energy for the fireworks that night. Since it's only about a 15-minute drive to the fireworks venue at Kinugawa Riverbed Green Park (鬼怒川河川敷緑地公園), you can enjoy the park worry-free until evening.

Tips

About a 15-minute drive from central Moka City. Parking available (may require a fee). Admission to the park is free, but some facilities require a usage fee. Applying insect repellent before you walk around will make things more comfortable. Mosquitoes increase in the evening, so plan to leave the park by 4:30 PM to prepare for your next move.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 30 minutes. The tree-shaded areas catch a breeze in the afternoon, making it relatively comfortable even in midsummer.
