Trace Tokutoku's footsteps and deepen your understanding of the festival's origins

About this spot

Located adjacent to Ninomiya Shrine, this museum displays materials about Ninomiya Kinjiro's (Tokutoku's) life and achievements in agricultural village restoration. Moka City is deeply connected to Tokutoku's legacy—he based his agricultural reforms at Sakuramachi Castle from his later years. This museum provides crucial context for understanding tonight's fireworks festival. The displays are well-organized and accessible even to children. Learning about the community festival's origins enriches the emotional impact of watching the fireworks. Reflect on Moka's history and people's lives as you begin your day meaningfully.
