The Gokogawa River bank east of Moka City Hall is the main venue for the Moka City Summer Festival Grand Fireworks Display. From evening onward, food stalls line the area offering summer festival favorites like yakisoba, frankfurters, and shaved ice. Securing a viewing spot is easier the earlier you arrive, so acquire dinner from the stalls and spread a leisure sheet along the riverbank to reserve your place. The refreshing evening breeze crossing the river surface is pleasant, and watching the sky change from orange to indigo creates a special moment where anticipation for the fireworks gradually builds.
Tips
Traffic regulations may be implemented around the venue from evening onward on the day of the fireworks display; confirm in advance through official announcements and Moka City guidance. Parking uses temporary lots around the venue, which become crowded; arriving as early as possible is recommended. Locate temporary restrooms early.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. Arriving around 5 PM is ideal—food stalls will be fully set up and spot-securing will be easier.
