The Gokogawa River bank east of Moka City Hall is the main venue for the Moka City Summer Festival Grand Fireworks Display. From evening onward, food stalls line the area offering summer festival favorites like yakisoba, frankfurters, and shaved ice. Securing a viewing spot is easier the earlier you arrive, so acquire dinner from the stalls and spread a leisure sheet along the riverbank to reserve your place. 真岡市役所東側の五行川河畔を舞台に、約15,000発の花火が夜空を彩る真岡市夏祭大花火大会です。スターマインや大玉など変化に富んだプログラムが90分にわたって続き、川面に映る光の帯が揺れる様子は河畔ならではの美しさです。フィナーレに向けて打ち上げの密度が上がり、夜空を埋め尽くす連発の迫力は、栃木県内でも屈指の規模を誇る15,000発ならではのスケール感です。川沿いに広がる観覧エリアから見上げる花火は、この1日のすべてのクライマックスにふさわしい絶景です。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は真岡市の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は周辺道路と駐車場が大変混雑するため、花火終了直後すぐに移動せず、河畔で余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅するとスムーズです。帰り道の足元が暗い箇所があるため、小さなライトがあると安心です。
Tips
Traffic regulations may be implemented around the venue from evening onward on the day of the fireworks display; confirm in advance through official announcements and Moka City guidance. Parking uses temporary lots around the venue, which become crowded; arriving as early as possible is recommended. Locate temporary restrooms early.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. Arriving around 5 PM is ideal—food stalls will be fully set up and spot-securing will be easier.
