A pudding specialty shop committed to Nikko-grown ingredients, using milk from the Nikko Kirifuri Kogen Ozasa Farm (日光霧降高原大笹牧場) and Nikko Goyo eggs (日光御養卵), finishing each pudding by hand in-store. The lineup includes soft-serve pudding, 'Otome Purin' made with Tochigi Prefecture strawberries, and mitarashi pudding made with soy sauce brewed with Nikko's famed spring water, and the retro storefront reminiscent of the Taisho-romance era catches the eye. Choosing your souvenirs now and leaving them at your lodging or in the car means less to carry while watching the fireworks. Since the shop is closed after the fireworks, it's wise to finish your shopping before dusk.

Tips

Just a short walk from Tobu-Nikko Station (東武日光駅) or JR Nikko Station (JR日光駅). On the day of the fireworks display, viewers increase from evening onward, so it goes smoothly if you finish eating by around 5 p.m. Dishes made with yuba (湯波, Nikko-style tofu skin) are unique to Nikko, a dish you can only taste here. After buying souvenirs, pack your things compactly in anticipation of moving to the venue.

Allow about 2 hours. The right move is to finish your meal and shopping while it's still bright, before evening sets in.
