The Boardwalk (wooden promenade) on the seaside of Depo Island is an excellent fireworks viewing spot stretching out to face the East China Sea. Just steps away from Sunset Beach, you can spend time before the show's start feeling the sea breeze at a relaxed pace. Lights from surrounding cafes and dining establishments create a lively summer night atmosphere. Identify the direction the fireworks will launch and determine a family-friendly viewing spot. Listening to the sound of waves while waiting is itself one of the pleasures of the fireworks festival.

SEAPORT CHATAN CARNIVAL（シーポートちゃたんカーニバル）は、2026年7月22日(水)から9月26日(土)にかけて毎週火・土曜を中心に複数日開催される、北谷町の夏を彩る花火イベントです。会場は東シナ海に面したデポアイランド・ボードウォークと北谷公園サンセットビーチで、打ち上げ開始は20時。海の上に開く花火は障害物がなく視界が広がり、潮風と波の音の中で楽しむ南国ならではの花火体験です。沖縄の夜空に映える花火の色彩は格別で、連日夏の夜に打ち上がる花火がエリア全体を明るく染めます。旅の夜を締めくくるにふさわしい、特別な時間をお楽しみください。
Tips
開催可否や時刻変更は主催者の公式情報で当日必ず確認してください。終了後は北谷町周辺の国道58号線が混雑します。駐車場から出るまで時間がかかることを想定し、余裕を持ったプランを。荷物は最小限にして、帰路は十分に安全に気をつけて。
Tips
About 3-5 minutes on foot from Sunset Beach. Since the Boardwalk is crowded, be sure to hold children's hands in busy areas. The ground becomes dark, so use your smartphone's light. It's reassuring to use restrooms before they get crowded and while it's still light.
Best time to visit
Approximately 30 minutes required. Aim to secure your viewing spot about 30 minutes before the show starts.
