An authentic ninja residence built during the Edo period that has survived to the present day, housed in the former residence of the Mochizuki family, which preserves the orthodox tradition of Koka-ryu ninjutsu. You can experience up close the actual ninja tricks used, such as hidden doors with surprising reversals and concealed staircases. This is a spot symbolizing Koka City's ninja culture and is perfect for the opening of a full day that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. The building can be viewed with a guided explanation, and you will be amazed by the practical wisdom of ninjutsu. Even on a hot summer day, the interior remains relatively cool, making it ideal as a starting point for hot hours.

Tips
荒天時の開催可否は甲賀市の公式発表で事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから時間差での移動がおすすめです。川沿いは終了後も足元が暗いため、スマホのライトで足元を照らしながら安全に移動してください。
Tips
About 5 minutes by car from Kona Station (甲南駅). Parking available. Since visits include guided tours, please confirm reception hours in advance and arrive with plenty of time. There are steps and steep stairs inside, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The adjacent shop also sells ninja merchandise and souvenirs.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Mornings and early afternoons are relatively uncrowded, allowing you to hear the guide at a leisurely pace
