Enjoy Afternoon Attractions at Kyushu's Largest Amusement Park
About this spot
Greenland is Kyushu's largest amusement park located in Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and serves as the venue for tonight's fireworks festival. The park offers attractions for all ages, from thrilling roller coasters to carousels and teacup rides suitable for small children. Riding the large observation wheel provides panoramic views of Ariake Sea (有明海) and surrounding greenery, letting you sense the scale of the night sky where fireworks will burst during the daytime. On summer holiday weekends when crowds peak, you can reduce wait times by heading to popular attractions early in the morning right after opening or during less busy evening hours. Prioritize children's requests when choosing rides and enjoy the afternoon experience together.

Tips
Tips
The parking lot is adjacent to the park, making car access convenient. Admission and attraction fees are separate, and free passes are also available, so check the official website in advance. On the fireworks festival day, visitors arrive in large numbers from daytime, so entering at opening time is ideal.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes required. During hours of strong sunlight, don't forget a hat and sunscreen.
