The vast riverbank of the Tedori River has few obstructions to the view, letting you dynamically enjoy fireworks filling the sky overhead. The way the fireworks' light shimmers as it reflects on the river's surface is also a beauty unique to riverside fireworks festivals. In case of bad weather, check the announcement from the Hokkoku Shimbun or the tournament's official channels on the day. After the event ends, roads and parking around the venue become very congested. For the way home, it's recommended to enjoy the afterglow at the riverbank for a while after the fireworks end, then leave once the congestion has eased. A small light is helpful since the riverbank underfoot is dark.
