The Wakasa Oi Super Ogase (若狭おおいのスーパー大火勢) is the fireworks display over the sea that closes out summer in Oi Town, Fukui Prefecture. The fireworks launched from offshore Uminpia Oi (うみんぴあ大飯) stand out beautifully against the ria-coast bay, giving them a distinctive power. Fireworks fired from the sea spread from a low position just above the horizon all the way up into the night sky, and the interplay with the light reflected on the calm surface of Wakasa Bay is a beauty unique to seaside fireworks. The large bursts of light that color the sky one after another toward the finale make this early-autumn Wakasa night unforgettable.
