A naturally rich spot with sandy beaches and pine groves stretching along the coast facing Genkai-Nada on the west side of Ashiya Town. In the summer afternoon, the ocean breeze is pleasant, and just walking along the water's edge lifts your spirits. In the distance, you can see the islands of Hibiki-Nada (Sea of Hibiki), and the open horizon offers a sense of liberation different from urban areas. It's also close to the Onga River estuary, the venue of tonight's fireworks, making it perfect for starting in the afternoon and fully breathing in the seaside air. The shade of the pine groves softens the intense summer sun, so families with small children can enjoy their time here with peace of mind.

2026年7月25日(土)20時から21時まで、遠賀川河口一帯の芦屋橋上流で打ち上げられるあしや花火大会です。約5,000発の花火が夏の夜空に次々と開き、遠賀川の川面に映り込む逆さ花火とともに空と水面の両方で花火の世界が広がります。河口に近い広い川幅を活かした大玉や、フィナーレの連続打ちは見応え十分で、川沿いの河川敷から遮るものなく正面で楽しめるのがこの大会の魅力です。川風が心地よい夜の遠賀川で、夏の夜の1時間を花火とともに過ごしましょう。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は芦屋町の公式発表を当日確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場が大混雑するため、花火終了後は少し時間をおいてから移動するか、徒歩でのアクセスルートを事前に確認しておくと安心です。帰り道の河川敷は足元が暗いため懐中電灯やスマートフォンのライトを活用しましょう。

Tips

A few minutes by car from the downtown area of Ashiya Town with parking available. Early arrival is recommended as the beach is crowded during swimming season. It's convenient to prepare sandals and a change of clothes if you plan to go down to the beach. Hat and sunscreen are essential as the sun is intense during the afternoon hours.
