About this spot

This is a gravity-type concrete dam built on the Yagiyama River, a tributary of the Inunaki River, and it forms a quiet dam lake surrounded by lush green mountains. From the lakeside, you can take in a full view of the dam body and the mountain ridges, making it a spot to relax in nature away from the bustle of the city. As a place connected to the main stream of the Inunaki River, which is tonight's fireworks venue, it makes a good stop for a stroll while feeling the source of the river's flow. The mountain greenery reflected on the lake's surface is beautiful, and it is also well suited for commemorative photos in the daylight.

Tips

Access is convenient by car. Some roads around the dam are narrow, so drive carefully. Some areas offer little shade, so don't forget a hat and drinks. The view from the walking path atop the dam is especially recommended.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes. In the afternoon light, the dam lake's surface sparkles, making for a beautiful contrast with the mountain greenery
