千代田町川せがき花火大会は、利根川河畔の赤岩渡船場付近を会場に毎年開催される、約6,280発を誇る群馬県有数の花火大会です。「川せがき」とは川で亡くなった霊を弔う仏教行事に由来し、伝統と祈りを背景に持つ格式ある大会です。利根川の広大な川幅を舞台に打ち上がる花火は、遮るものがなく空と川の両方に広がる圧巻のスケールで、川面に映る光の帯も見事です。大玉の連続打ちやスターマインなど多彩なプログラムが川の夜空を埋め尽くし、爆音が体に響く迫力は平野の大河ならではの醍醐味です。夏の夜、家族みんなで川風を感じながら見上げるフィナーレの大連発は、きっと忘れられない夏の記憶になります。

開催時間は例年変更になることがあるため、当日は千代田町の公式発表で最新情報を確認してください。荒天時は中止または順延の場合があります。終了後は会場周辺の道路が大変混雑するため、花火終了後はしばらく河畔で余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめです。帰りの運転をされる方は飲酒に十分ご注意ください。

Tips

A few minutes' drive from Michi-no-Eki Chiyoda. On festival day, surrounding roads become congested; arrive early. The riverbed may have gravel or grass, so wear comfortable walking shoes. After sunset, the area becomes dark, so bring a light. Locate restrooms in advance for peace of mind.
