About this spot

A roadside station in the Tanuma district of Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, known as a facility located at the very center point of the Japanese archipelago. The farm produce stand carries fresh locally grown vegetables, and along with a Japanese/Western restaurant, there are also zones for sweets and a foot bath, making it a place where families can spend a good amount of time. It's conveniently located for a break or shopping stop on the way to the Oura Festival Fireworks Show venue.

Tips

Located along National Route 354, and access is basically by car. On the evening of the fireworks, more local residents tend to stop by as well, so it's recommended to arrive early and take your time. Snacks and prepared foods can sell out, so it's reassuring to grab them early.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes. It's efficient to stop by before heading to the venue in the evening, finishing your meal and restroom break before moving on
