Located in the Hayasaki area near the southern tip of the Shimabara Peninsula, this park offers outstanding views of the Amakusa Islands across the Amakusa Sea. On clear days, the mountain ranges of Amakusa on the opposite shore appear within reach, creating striking contrast with the blue sea. Tonight's fireworks will launch above this very sea. Confirming the expanse and direction of the sea during the day will make your fireworks viewing all the more enjoyable. Relaxing in the pleasant sea breeze of the plaza while enjoying views of the sea's color and horizon provides a special pause in your day. The park is free to use and features a grassy area where children can run around.
Tips
About 5 minutes by car from the Kuchinotsu History and Folk Museum. Parking spaces available. In the strong summer sunlight, don't forget a hat and drinks. In areas with rocky footing, hold hands with young children. Check for restroom availability on site.
