The Nagano Ebisu Lecture Fireworks Festival is held in Nagano City in conjunction with the grand Ebisu Lecture festival praying for business prosperity, and is a fireworks festival with a history dating back to the Edo period. On November 23, 2026 (Monday, National Holiday), from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, approximately 10,000 fireworks will be launched from Sai River 2nd Green Space west of Nagano Bridge. The large fireworks blooming in the crisp late-autumn night sky possess a solemn beauty distinct from summer fireworks festivals, and the impact of light and sound seen in the cold air is extraordinary. The flickering reflection of fireworks on the river surface is a sight unique to the Sai River. Known nationwide as a rare "winter fireworks festival," it is cherished by many fireworks enthusiasts and serves as a fitting grand finale to Nagano city's largest festival.

Check the official festival website for confirmation of whether the festival will be held in case of inclement weather. After the festival ends, surrounding roads and the return route toward Nagano Station become extremely congested. Either enjoy the atmosphere around the venue for a while and depart at a staggered time, or confirm your return transportation method in advance. November nights in Nagano are extremely cold, so ensure full cold-weather preparation.
