Hirosaki Apple Park (弘前市りんご公園), a municipal orchard operated by Hirosaki City, features approximately 80 varieties and 2,300 apple trees planted across a vast grounds. The park is free to enter and stroll freely, allowing you to observe the apple trees' growth up close. In June, white blossoms have faded and young fruit begins to develop—the perfect time to feel the apples' growth heading into summer. From a high point on the grounds, Mount Iwaki comes into full view, and you can also confirm the direction where tonight's fireworks will be launched. The facility also sells apple juice and apple-based sweets—convenient for souvenir shopping.

古都ひろさき花火の集いは、弘前市の岩木川河川敷運動公園(悪戸地区)を会場に開催される花火大会で、2026年6月20日(土)19時45分から21時まで、約10,000発が打ち上げられます。広い河川敷からは遮るものなく大きな花火が楽しめ、晴れた日には岩木山のシルエットを遠景に花火が開く津軽らしい風景が広がります。6月下旬の北国の夜は比較的涼しく、夏の喧騒とは異なる落ち着いた雰囲気の中で花火を楽しめるのがこの大会の魅力です。川面に映る光の揺らぎとともに、津軽の初夏の夜を締めくくる約10,000発のクライマックスを存分に味わいましょう。

Tips

会場周辺の駐車場は早めに満車になるため、公共交通機関や臨時シャトルバスの運行情報を弘前市の公式発表で事前に確認を。荒天時の開催可否も同様に公式情報で確認してください。終了後は混雑が予想されるため、フィナーレ後しばらく河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから移動すると楽です。帰り道は足元が暗いのでライトを持参しましょう。

Tips

From Hirosaki Station by bus, about 15 minutes (Konan Bus (弘南バス) "Apple Park" stop). Free admission. The grounds are expansive, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Check the return bus schedule in advance and allow time to return to the Hirosaki Station area before dinner.
